The Living Christmas Tree is
Tabernacle's annual gift to the community!
In the weeks before Christmas,
volunteers erect a 50 foot tall Christmas tree at the front of the church.
The tree was designed by TBC member Boswell Williamson, and is composed
of steel beams that are assembled and locked into supports in the pavement
and
on the church. The seven rows are designed to handle adults in standing
position. A special musical is prepared by a volunteer choir that begins
rehearsing in September.
The choir stands in the tree and presents the
musical free of charge over the course of several nights in December. In
2008 the choir will present on Dec. 12-14,
starting at 7 pm each night.
Hot apple cider, coffee and cookies will be served. Dress warm! Bundle
up
small
children
and the elderly well.
